Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen for Dinner

Thursday night of our vacation week, after a day in Disney’s California Adventure and before heading into Disneyland, we ate dinner at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney.

This is the courtyard at the entrance.

We were brought to our table in this room where thre is a stage with live jazz.

Pennants from New Orleans area schools and a Barq’s Root Beer sign are shown here on the wall.

The stage as seen from the front…

…and the stage from where our table was located, close and to the side.

Our table was near this painting…

…and interesting light fixture on the wall. Do you know what it is? Flambeaux, as carried for illumination in old-line Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans!

Gumbo three ways makes a Hidden Mickey when the camera is position just right!

Our entrees were tasty and true N’awlins-style food.

We posed for a picture with a copy of the New Orleans Times-Picayune travel section because that newspaper will publish photos like this when New Orleanians hold up that section of the paper in their far-away vacation photos.

Bread pudding with two sauces can also make a Hidden Mickey!

We would eat there again! The food is vastly better than served at Disneyland’s Blue Bayou.

Reservations are recommended. There also is the Jazz Kitchen Express if you’re in a hurry.

About the Disney Echo

This website is not affiliated with any part of The Walt Disney Company.

The Disney Echo at DisneyEcho.emuck.com is your interactive online magazine to discover new wonders and share magical Disney memories.

The display on this page is set up to show the posts in reverse chronological order of when they were posted originally, so if you want to read the reports from the beginning, go to the last post on the last page and work forward. The first entry about the Koster family's July 2008 Disneyland trip can be found by clicking here and the first entry about their Easter 2008 Disneyland trip can be found by selecting this link.

That link goes to the very first travel-related article on this website: Welcome to our Trip Report.

The entry made after that first one is found after clicking the link named "Our Vacation Plans At-A-Glance" and that link is found above and below the first entry.

The third entry is similarly found after clicking the link above and below the second one, where the link is named "Packing Up"

One can read all the travel-related entries in the order they were posted by going to the next entry and the next entry the same way. Otherwise, this website defaults to displaying the most-recently-posted entries followed by older entries below it on the page as well as on the pages after it.
