Heading into downtown Los Angeles? This sounds like a fun thing to do!
We enjoyed the stage show we saw at the El Capitan Theatre before WALL-E during our last trip to Disneyland, and both the stage show and movie presentation were great! I’m sure “Oliver and Company” will look wonderful with the El Cap’s digital projection as well.
Then having breakfast with Mickey and Minnie at Disney’s Soda Fountain & Studio Store would be something I’d like to do before heading into the theatre. The restaurant is not all that big so there’s sure to be lots of “face time” with the characters.

Take a look at all we saw and did at the Minnie & Friends “Breakfast in the Park” inside Disneyland at the Plaza Inn Restaurant. I think you’ll see why we love it there so much!
As usual here on the blog, click on any picture to see it larger.
This restaurant was one of Walt’s favorites and he personally watched over its design and construction.
The décor reminds me of a fancier Crystal Palace at WDW’s Magic Kingdom. But even better than how the place looks is the great food, the number of Disney Characters there, and how well they interact with Guests and their fellow Characters.
Chip was motioning that Max was crazy, then Chip started digging snot from his nose and wiping it on Max repeatedly, then also on the female Cast Members hair and face! Despite Chip’s antics, the food was delicious. You serve yourself all you care to eat and drink from the food and beverage stations.
What a tasty Hidden Mickey!
Outside Character dining is also available there, where birthday party celebrations take place.
