After Soarin’ over California we decided to go to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror because we wanted to ride it before the lines got too long or get FastPasses for it if the wait was too long. Wasn’t it a beautiful day at DCA!
I got these two because I had Michael’s park pass with mine. Carol had her Annual Pass so she got her own FastPass. We decided to take a look at ToT while we were right there — and saw the wait time wasn’t very long so we got in line. Michael stated with us to see the queue theming even though he didn’t want to ride.
That’s the elevator hotel guests would take after checking in at the lobby, but it is out of order after the unfortunate and mysterious accident decades ago. So we waited to enter the library where Rod Serling would tell us details about the accident on TV, then we’d head down to the boiler room to take a service elevator up to the top of the tower.
Michael took advantage of the Chicken Exit and didn’t board the elevator with us. He waited in the exit corridor for us to rejoin him. Carol and I enjoyed the attraction but prefer the Florida version better because the elevator actually leaves its shaft to take Guests through the Twilight Zone. There were great ghosts effects, though, and a little of the Twilight Zone to be seen from the elevator. This attraction is much better at WDW’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios, however.
Instead of buying this souvenEAR photo, we saved money and took our own photo of it off the display monitor. How many attraction photos are Guests supposed to buy, all of them??
All three of us then exited the attraction after browsing in the ToT gift shop, which is larger at WDW’s version and there’s also more merchandise there as well. Here are some of the better items we saw.
