The C. K. Holliday is one of two engines at Disneyland that Walt had constructed at the machine shop at the Disney studios, not converted from an existing locomotive. As Michael Broggie writes in his book, it looks full-size even though it isn’t — because it was designed to fit in with the other things at Disneyland which were also made at less than full size. It is yet another example of Walt’s painstaking attention to detail.
I highly recommend Michael’s book, “Walt Disney Railroad Story.” Get it using the Carolwood Store link at Carolwood.org.

So many great things on display!
